Class/Job system 9/10: The job system can be hard to understand for new players to the game since theres so many classes to chose and how to get there, but once you get the hang of it, it is actualy simple and very enjoyable. At lvl 10 you get your first job, then again at 40 then again at job lvl 99. Though after your 2nd job change you go down to novice job lvl 1 all over again, which is understandable becuase the company wants you to keep playing as long as you can to make more off you in months to come. The jobs are unique, very nice skill animation, and fun to learn.
PVP 3/10: Harsh score? you tell me, since pvp is the only thing you can really do at higher lvls its not suprising that the game offers so many classes. The reason it gets a 3 is becuase of the horrible balance in classes, if your an assasian or cross assasian have fun winning against almost any other class. Monks are overpowered aswell. Since your going to see most of the arena filled with assasians button mashing the same skill over and over or sometimes just once to give you a OHKO death, its not suprising that there would be monks there waiting for the assasians to come out of hiding so they can hit their F1 key to kill in one shot as well. Healers are also very viable in pvp since they dont die until they run out of mana. Poor classes like mages who have the hit points to take out other classes simply cant take dmg from a monk or assasian which is sad. Classes like the crusadar dont hit hard enough to stop an assasian in his tracks and eventualy die out. And on top of that when you get into arena to have some fun pvping your usualy just ganked by a party of people siting in the middle of the arena talking about unrelated topics.
PVE 5/10: unbalanced just like the PVP. In RO if your a theif or acolyte enjoy your easy leveling. If your anything but those 2 enjoy your twice as slow leveling. It's true if your a theif or a acolyte you level twice as fast as those who arent your class. Which is saddening becuase you see countless theives and healers running around while ,if your a mage for example, your just watching them power leveling themselves while you spam pots for mana and still level twice as slow. And in the end it just goes back to pvp, with monks and assasians ruling the arenas.
Based on what you heard from my review (ive played for around 2 years) you tell me, is RO zeny worth paying for?
